What did we do this weekend??? Celebrate and eat. That pretty much sums it up. We travelled to Athens on Friday night to see Leah Beth graduate on Saturday morning from UNA. We fought the crowd and escaped the madness shortly after LB crossed the stage. We had a quick lunch at Ricatoni's, thanks to dad, which was just delightful. It's worth the drive to Florence just to eat there. The bread in a bag is irresistible and the food never lets you down!
We then went to my aunt and uncle's house for a celebration for LB by the pool. I welcomed being outside since my summer tan is non-existent at this point. It was such a great time! My Aunt D makes the best spaghetti salad ever, which is always the highlight for me at any of her partys. It's my only wish for any get-together with them.
Leah Beth, me and John David
The rest of the weekend was spent in preparation for Matthew's celebration at mom and dad's house on Sunday afternoon. Sarah and I worked hard on the flower arrangements while John David made his famous baked beans. Both turned out really great!
Knockout Roses, Hydrangeas, and purple no-names
Mom has a huge green thumb. She has the prettiest flowers and always seems to have some available for bouquets. I can only hope to have beautiful flowers one day. The azaleas, hydrangeas and Bon-ball are a start.
Matthew in his celebration tent
Mom decided to rent a tent due to the unpredictable rain, and good thing she did. It came a down pour during the party, which was entertainment to the little ones. Boys will be boys...
