It's officially fall...
and we're parents...
so we definitely had to take our first annual trip to the pumpkin patch! (sorry - the pictures have no relation to the pumpkin patch, but they were too cute not to include).
Our sweet friends and Chams, jr.'s best bud's parents, the Barleys, planned the place, so we travelled south to Old Baker Farm to enjoy an afternoon of scoping out pumpkins.
It just so happened to be Cowboy Day. We did wear our boots, but left our official cowboy/girl outfits at the ranch. When we pulled up, we heard gunfire. It wasn't from our gunshow, though...
There was a little green grassy spot full of little John Deere tractors for the kiddos to enjoy. We couldn't resist.
Chams, jr. didn't love it as much as Little B. He was a natural.
We rode the hayride to the patch, where the "good pumpkins" were 100+ yards away. (well, maybe that's a stretch, but sounds about right) After searching for the perfect pumpkins, we hiked back to civilization.
Chams manned Chams, jr. while I wagged pumpkins around. It was hot too...neither job was a piece of cake. Next year we'll be more prepared and have a wagon. Carrying a child and pumpkins is no easy feat.
Chams, jr. didn't give us alot of smiles. It was alot to take in, so I can understand...
And, by then end of the trip, Chams, jr. had, had enough of the patch. It was time to go home.
It was a wonderful time, though, with some dear friends. We scored some great pumpkins, too, that now adorn our front porches. We've copied the Barley's, and are thrilled with our arrangement.
Happy Fall!!!
